A little more than two years ago, I had this tremendous idea of a story in relation to World of Warcraft.
It's about this teenage boy who had sailed away from his slavery from the Naga by the Maelstrom. During his voyage, his ship was assaulted by the Black Dragonflight and every other man on that boat was slain... except for him. He was knocked unconscious and woke up dark depths of Blackwing Lair. It was here where they transformed him into a powerful dragon. To his surprise, he was still sane. The black dragons didn't administer a brain-washing until the transformation was complete. He managed to escape were he wondered aimlessly to seek out his destiny. Later, he is called The Seeker since he is seeking out his own destiny.
Primary Characters:
The Seeker, Sorel
Sinestra, Deathwing's consort
The Netherwing
Onyxia
Nefarian
Malygos
Kalecgos
Blue Dragonflight
Black Dragonflight
Horde
Alliance
The story takes place in the expansion The Burning Crusade and ends in the early Wrath of the Lich King. This whole trilogy is an alternate perspective of the progression of World of Warcraft. At least in the first story, The Seeker is subject to both good and evil forces. Though he is mainly chasing good, the Black Dragonflight plots to turn him into the very thing they intended to have him be at the beginning.

Title: The Seeker
Main Character: Sorel
What is the story about? It's about Sorel, who is turned into a powerful black dragon by the Black Dragonflight. The Black Dragons have found a way to transform living creatures into the Deathwing's dragonflight. Although a Black Dragon, Sorel was not put under Deathwing's control. After escaping the ones who had held him captive in Blackwing Lair, he journeyed across the lands to find where exactly what his purpose was. Because of this, he bears the title as "The Seeker."
Sequence of Events:
-Prologue. This tells the reader about Sorel's life before he was turned into a Dragon, how he was a slave to the Naga in his childhood in the Malestrom until his late teenage years when he and several others escaped, leading into his captivity.
-Escaping Blackwing Lair. This is where Sorel escapes Blackwing Lair and journeys through the Eastern Kingdoms, eventually heading into outland. He is exposed to the many races of the Alliance and Horde during his travels, as they show their hatred for the Black Dragonflight.
-Learning about being a dragon. In this portion of the story, Sorel learns the many abilities dragons have. The main thing he learns is the ability to shapeshift into a mortal form, excluding his actual human self before his transformation. Now in Hellfire Peninsula of outland, he disguises himself as a member of the Alliance as he finds a group that seek to kill of Vazruden The Herald in Hellfire Ramparts. At the end, Sorel is taunted by Vazruden's dragon-steed, Nazan. Sorel gives in to the anger and fights him as his dragon form. With Sora victorious, he exposes his true form to the Alliance. The group of Alliance actually attack him, thinking he's with the Black Dragonflight, but Sorel flees from them and continues his journey.
-The Netherwing. Sora stumbles into Shattrath City, where A'dal welcomes him. A'dal directs his lost soul to the dragons in the Lower City, who are embassadors of the Netherwing. The ambassadors believe Sorel is the one who can save their kind from the Dragonmaw in Shadowmoon Valley. The Netherwing storyline from World of Warcraft shall is basically what Sorel encounters.
-The Seeker. After much success with the freeing of Mordenai's mother from the clutches of the Dragonmaw, and the deterioration of the Dragonmaw army, the Netherwing bestow Sorel the title, "The Seeker." During the Netherwing storyline, Lady Sinestra, Sintharia, actually falls in love with Sorel. This is the main love story of this novel, The Seeker and Sintharia.
-The Seeker's Corruption. Right before Sorel and Sinestra have their first kiss in their mortal forms, agonizing pain overwhelms Sorel and falls unconscious. He wakes up in Onyxia's cavern in Dustwallow Marsh. Onyxia and Nefarian use their powers to corrupt The Seeker, as he becomes brain-washed and becomes the Black Dragonflight's secret weapon.
-Attack on Stormwind. Now evil, The Seeker, Onyxia, Nefarian, and an army of Black Dragons attack Stormwind. A mighty battle is fought. In the end, Nefarian is slain and Onyxia flees. Sinestra finds him out cold in Stormwind's canals. Stormwind at the end of this battle looks like Stratholme, present day: scorched and destroyed. Stormwind is rebuilt later as the story progresses, and Stormwind Harbor is added. As for The Seeker, Sinestra takes him with her back to Netherwing Ledge, where she discusses about Nefarian's failure to Overlord Mog'hor.
-Seeing the Light. Now awake, The Seeker suffers from amnesia. He can't remember who he is anymore, but throughout this part of the story, he sees flashbacks about his past. He eventually remembers who he is and he triest to persuade Sinestra to stop being evil. She isn't persuaded.
-Wyrmrest. This is where The Seeker must travel to Wyrmrest to find his destiny. Sinestra begs him not to go, but The Seeker goes. This causes Sinestra to be heart-broken and she works on creating the Twilight Dragonflight. At Wyrmrest, Alexstrasza realizes The Seeker's hidden powers inside him. But during this, Malygos and his Blue Dragonflight attack Wyrmrest Temple!
This is the climax of the story, because The Seeker does unleash his true power. Malygos is defeated, but because of the intense fighting, the sacred orbs at each Dragonshrine in Dragonblight are damaged. This causes the balance of Nature to be disturbed and starts to unravel the world.
-Sorel's Sacrifice. In the end, Sorel decides to use his powers to heal the orb of the Black Dragonflight. Dragons from the other flights do so for their own orbs as well. Peace and balance is restored, but Sinestra actually shows up right when his spirit is trapped within the orb. Sinestra cries on The Seeker's soul-less body next the the Shrine for her love.

Last year was when I was working on a sequel.
The Seeker: Legacy of Death
This picks up where the first story ended. At the ending of the first story, The Seeker-and with the help of the other dragonflights-managed to defeat Malygos and ended the Nexus War... with a price. The destruction of that battle destroyed sacred relics at each of the dragonshrines in Dragonblight, causing a massive violent twist in nature that would surely threaten civilization. Each member of the dragonflights selected one member of their flight to sacrifice themselves to save the planet from destruction, The Seeker being the dragon for the Black Dragonflight. Their soulless bodies were soon covered in a blanket of snow and ice.
Legacy of Death starts with the Wrath Gate cinematic. Afterwards, the Lich King raises Sindragosa and The Seeker from their graves and plans an all out war against the Horde and Alliance. The only places they can fortify are their settlements of Warsong Hold and Valgarde. The other towns have been over ran by the Scourge army. The story is mainly the war-effort in trying to push the Scourge back and then, later on, infiltrating Icecrown Citadel and vanquishing Arthas.
Primary Characters:
The Seeker
Sindragosa
Bolvar Fordragon
Saurfang Sr./Jr.
Garrosh
Thrall
Jaina
King Wrynn
Rhonin
Tirion Fordring
Darion Mograine
The Lich King
And in the last couple of days, I continued to lengthen the story by adding another sequel. This would make to probably the end of the story. One epic trilogy. One world... of warcraft.
The Seeker: Vengeance of Deathwing
This would continue where Legacy of Death left off. This would be the transition from Wrath of the Lich King to Cataclysm, in WoW expansions.
By now, The Seeker has been redeemed by Tirion Fordring after killing him and Sindragosa in Icecrown Citadel... more powerful and is what he used to be before his resurrection as a frostwyrm. He has now been appointed by Alexstrasza to become the new Black Dragon Aspect after Deathwing's corruption and loss of sanity. The old gods agree and grant The Seeker with unimaginable power. He wouldn't make the same mistake Deathwing made.
After the slaying of the Lich King and destroying Frostmourne, The Seeker slept until he would be needed again.
Here is the prologue I wrote for The Seeker: Vengeance of Deathwing:
"It was finally over. No more sadness, no more hatred, and no more suffering. The chilling winds no longer promised Death to its adventurers. In this place of time, a new chapter of the world had begun. What seemed to last an eternity was now finished. I was given the sacred duty to destroy what was left of him.
The Lich king was no more and I had no remorse for what I did to him. Frostmourne still stood mounted in his body. For a moment, I remembered all the countless lives that were taken by this damned sword. I remembered the pain of losing some of m y dearest friends. I remembered the revenge I wanted and how it nearly drove me into insanity. The task that I was given was to destroy the very thing that held the souls of tens of thousands of people born of innocence: Frostmourne.
Upon destroying it, I freed every last man, woman, and child Arthas had killed... even his father. At that moment, I knew my destiny had been completed yet again. And in my time of slumber, the world remained quiet and peaceful.
But though another page had ended and a new page beginning, a part of me asked if this was finally the end, the same question I asked those many years ago. Back then, the answer was no. But now, as I would soon realize, the answer would still. Be. No. Soon, I would come to understand that the question isn't "is this the end?", it was actually "will there ever be an end?"."
The storyline, as of now, is still in the works. I'll get back to you when I can on it.

If the things I imagine would become reality, the world would be a much, much more... intriguing place... For me.
